Day 28 was a pretty uneventful day once we got her pain level down. She didn’t eat much and she didn’t pee much so they will probably be starting fluids soon. She has didn’t have a poo so that means more medicine.
I found that I can mix the Miralax with a bit of Pedialyte and feed it to her with a syringe so she doesn’t put up too much of a fight… she actually does really well taking her medications.
Our Instagram posts from yesterday:
Baby girl had a better night last night but we had to increase her morphine to keep her comfortable.
She did sleep in her bed until about 3:30 and then we snuggled in the chair until about 8:30.
She got a little ‘boost’ of morphine around 8:00 because she was hurting but now she’s sleeping and I’m going to let her rest.
Bad news is that her ANC is still at 0… good news is that they are seeing monocytes which means count recovery should follow soon!
Tomorrow is her birthday and it’s a bittersweet milestone as I really prayed that we wouldn’t be here at the hospital but I know this is where she needs to be right now.
I ‘saw’ her first birthday going much different than it has and it seems like just yesterday I was planning her party, adding decorations to my Amazon cart, and pinning ideas. We had overcome so many challenges and I wasn’t expecting it when we got the call that changed our lives.
We’ll have a party when we get home as well.
She’s got this and I know her second birthday will be the biggest bash we’ve ever thrown!
Thank you all for your continued love and support… please keep those prayers coming!
She’s feeling a bit better at the moment. Her hemoglobin came up on its own… yay for no transfusion today!
She was really tired yesterday morning and could barely keep her head up when I put her in the high chair for breakfast.
She did get more alert in the afternoon and she kept wanting to eat more puffs which is hopefully a good sign that her numbers are coming up.
They have a party planned for her today and I’ll be sure to post pictures later.
As always… thank you all for your love and support and please continue to keep us in your prayers!
